When you light a candle, melt a wax cube, or burn a stick of incense, you probably think first about the fragrance—the cozy scent filling the room, the atmosphere it creates, or the little ritual of slowing down at the end of the day.

But what goes into those products matters, too. 💖

At Sacred Flame Studio, we don't mass-produce our handmade candles, wax melts, and incense. They are made in small batches, with ingredients we’ve intentionally selected, because quality matters to us.

It Starts with the Wax 

We make our handmade candles and wax melts with natural, sustainable soy and coconut wax blends. 🌱

We choose these waxes because we want the foundation of our products to reflect the same care that goes into creating them. From melting and blending to pouring each batch, our candles and wax melts are genuinely handmade—not simply packaged or relabeled products. A lot of time, love & energy go into each hand-poured product.

That means when you purchase one of our hand-poured candles or wax melts, you’re supporting small-batch craftsmanship and a product made by real hands right here at Sacred Flame Studio in Ohio (vs being mass-produced in large factory warehouses located overseas).

Fragrance Is More Than Just “Something That Smells Good”. Fragrance is one of our favorite parts of creating!

We use premium fragrance oils from trusted suppliers, including CandleScience, and many of our fragrances come from their eco-friendly Clean Scents™ line.

Choosing fragrance oils is part science and part creativity. We consider how a fragrance performs in wax, how it fills a space, how different notes work together, and—most importantly—how the finished scent smells & makes you feel. 🥰

Fragrance can completely change the vibe & atmosphere of any room. It can make your home feel cozy and familiar, peaceful and grounding, fresh and energized, or mysterious and magical. 🔮

The small details matter, too. Even something as simple as a candle wick deserves consideration. Our candles are made with cotton wicks that are lead- and zinc-free. The wick size is carefully paired with the vessel so the waxes, oils, vessels, and wicks can work together safely for the best burn.

These details aren’t necessarily the first thing you notice when looking at a finished candle—but they’re part of what goes into creating one thoughtfully. 🧡

What About Our Incense?

Our incense sticks are handmade and different from many commercially produced incense sticks sold in convenience stores.

We begin with punk wood, sandalwood & bamboo blanks, rather than charcoal-filled cores. The sticks are then scented using premium fragrance oils and DPG sourced from Plant Guru. We use quality, extra-long sticks and premium fragrance oils to ensure a long, slow burn.
